Dear ASDConferences.com,
I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about the
conference! More than being educational, useful and enlightening, it was
inspirational and inspiring. To begin with, the information presented
wasn't just "informative." Real, useful, practical techniques and
interventions were presented and explained in useable ways. I didn't feel
like I was at a college lecture! But more importantly, there was no doubt
in my mind that every one of the speakers truly cared about helping people
with ASD and those that love them. To all of you, this is personal.
One of the greatest accomplishments of this conference was experiencing the cohesion that formed within the group. People from all over - miles and even states apart - walked in Thursday morning as strangers. By Friday afternoon, this was hardly the case. Seeing perfect strangers walking up to each other, offering advice, giving "tips", handing out names of professionals that had been helpful, giving support, comfort, the list goes on and on. Just to know, as a parent, that you are not alone, that there are others out there who share those unique experiences and challenges is so uplifting. And knowing that there are truly enlightened professionals like all of you who are diligently working to help improve
the lives of our children, gives so much hope.
And finally - to hear Liane, to share in even part of her struggles and triumphs - gives me the inspiration to continue what I have already begun - helping my daughter overcome any obstacles or difficulties to achieve all that she can.
Helping her discover and liver her dreams, her goals, her life - on her terms. No words of thanks could possibly be enough.
- A Thankful Attendee and Parent
